Ellie & Chris’s church wedding at St John The Evangelist Church in Bury, West Sussex, was the first in a run of church weddings for us this year. Small church’s pose different challenges for us, the small space, lack of both artificial and natural light, and not wanting to detract from the event by moving around in people fields of view, or cause distracting noise or flashes. Both Julian and I moved from full size DSLR’s to smaller mirrorless systems a couple of years ago, and one of the advantages of them is the ability to use a virtually silent shutter, which is great, but it means that the harnesses that they are attached to make more noise than them and one’s focus has now shifted to the noise the metal buckles make creaking against each other as we move around 😆. Ellie looked beautiful in a dress from Proposals in Crawley. The reception was at Chapel Barn in Bolney, where we’ve now shot countless times. The barn looked amazing as always.
